Urut perut - masuk angin / abdominal to loosen the wind energy
The ANGIN - WIND element in the massage. 02-04-2021
As a child of Moluccan parents I was introduced to the wind element quite early on.
This is called masuk angin, the entry of the wind. Too much angin in your body hold back the flow of life energy, which can cause discomfort and illness.
We use the word masuk angin when we don't feel well because we have not weathered the wind well.
As a result, you catch a cold. You can get the too much wind out of the body by means of massages, steam baths, or kerok. (scraping technique)
Wind, also called LOM, symbolizes the material emptiness in traditional Thai medicine.
Wind represents the energy that regulates movement in the activities and functions of the body: upwind, downwind, abdomen wind, wind in the intestines, wind in
the blood circulation, wind that penetrates the whole body and breathing. Wind represents and shapes lightness and circulation throughout the body.
Wind element imbalance can manifest as symptoms such as pneumonia, cough, blocked mucous membranes, tuberculosis, bronchitis, other respiratory infections, fainting, dizziness and arthritis. The Wind element is considered the most important element in promoting mobility, strength, longevity and vitality.
How does this manifest itself in the massage?
The Urut Isiwa massage, which originates from the Moluccan, strengthens the balance of the life energy: the fire and the wind element in the body.
The "kasih masuk" technique brings the energy towards the abdomen. It also works on the Thai Sen energy lines.
Why is massage so important after birth ? .
.To bring the energy back into balance.
. Abdomen massage with herbal stamp:
In addition to the usual herbs, Moluccan herbs are also added to the stamps, such as the daun pala (nutmeg leaf) daun tjengkeh (clove leaf) and the daun kayu putih (the leaf of the eucalyptus)
Kasih rapat: Back- en waist massage.
The process of getting pregnant and giving birth is a very tiring one. It puts a lot of pressure on the parts of the body, including the lower part of the abdomen, the back and waist.
The kasih rapat technique (tightening) ensures the balance between the abdomen and lower back.
